John Gay, RTSBA, RSBO

I am a Registered Texas School Business Administrator in the Texas Association of School Business Officials and a Registered School Business Official in the Association of School Business Officials International.  I was born in South Georgia, raised in a Christian home, the great nephew of a U.S. Representative and cousin to Ensign George Gay of The Battle of Midway fame. I am a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard where I took it upon myself to solve a problem that had plagued us for 11 years, saving the Coast Guard an estimated $2,000,000.

I was raised in a farming community and have worked in construction, manufacturing, food service, checked and bagged groceries, worked in warehousing, mailroom, sales, purchasing, customer service and education. I was a Boy Scout, active in 4-H and graduated from high school at age 16.  At age 20, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard and after a four year enlistment I moved my young family to Texas.  I raised my two children, while attending Texas A&M University full-time and while working full-time; graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Distribution, Class of '98.  I am currently a school district administrator and president of the church council for my local church.
